Opened August 2011 at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex, the new 78,323-square-foot indoor Greensboro Aquatic Center or (GAC) is a state-of-the-art facility featuring leading edge concepts in aquatic design. The GAC brings together all major aquatic sports - competitive swimming and diving, water polo, synchronized swimming and other unique sports all in one venue. Features a competitive pool, diving well and warm-up pool. In anddition to meeting NCAA and FINA standards and meeting the requirement to hold USA Swimming meets, Master's swimming and U.S. Water Polo events, visitors can swim and splash at this innovative swimming facility on non-event days!

GSA exists to offer a competitive swimming program as a positive and challenging experience for all its members.  There, athletes will be encouraged to grow as people by accepting and working toward attaining personal, group and team goals.

They offer swimming to those who want to compete or thse who are just starting off swimming.

Swim School is open to any preschool-age child who is comfortable putting his face in the water and ready to learn to swim. A GSA coach will work with a small group of swimmers (no more than 4) to help them develop confidence in the water and the fundamentals of good strokes. Swim school is offered in 30 minute sessions once a week. Classes are offered on Mondays mornings at 9:30 and 10:00 am at the Greensboro Aquatic Center, and students will be grouped according to skill/confidence level.
